Sarah is Deputy Chairman Membership & Fundraising.
She was a successful candidate for the Wateringbury Ward in the 2019 Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council elections and now represents Wateringbury as a Borough Councillor. In 2021 she was elected as a Kent County Councillor representing the Malling Rural East division.
"I have lived in Wateringbury with my husband and four children for nearly 20 years. All four children attended the village school, and my youngest is still there. After 18 years in the City, I ‘retired’ and began working with my husband setting up a small, successful family-run business. I also joined the Parish Council, and was Chair for a number of years, until just after the birth of my youngest. In that time, I successfully raised the funds to build our fantastic childrens’ play area, set up Speedwatch, as speeding was, and still is, a massive issue in the village, and set up and ran, with the help of others, a youth club, having identified that there was little for young adults to do in the village. These days I am a trustee of the Village Hall, and organise the bookings for the hall, and am chair of Maidstone Grammar School Parents’ Association. I am passionate about our village and am a firm believer that the more you put in to something, the more you will get out, so I hope that you will give me your support and allow me to serve our community."
Sarah is a candidate in the Kent County Council Elections which will be held in May 2021. Please see her election leaflet attached below.
