Karen King was a successful candidate for the Castle Ward in the 2019 Tonbridge and Malling Borough Council elections. She joins Vivian Branson in representing the ward.
Originally from Newcastle, I have lived in Tonbridge for the last 10 years after marrying a Tonbridge lad.
It’s a delightful town, with lots of wonderful history and a great community. During my time in Tonbridge I have played in the local netball leagues, and mentored GCSE students. I volunteer every Saturday at Foal Farm animal shelter in the Dog Team. I have commuted to London for the past 10 years from Tonbridge so transport links and keeping the town moving are important to me. I am also concerned about antisocial behavior and ensuring local people feel safe. I am standing for election as I want to contribute to improving Tonbridge for everyone. I have worked in customer service throughout my career and enjoy helping people. If elected I am looking forward to helping residents as much as I can and hopefully making a difference to our town.
