Howard represents the Hadlow and East Peckham Ward.
He is the TMBC Cabinet Member for Strategic Planning and Infrastructure and has represented Golden Green, Hadlow and East Peckham since 2002..
Howard has lived in Golden Green for 20 years. He is married to Jane and they have two children and two grandchildren. He works for an IT company which specialises in Decision Table and Decision Management software. Howard has been an over active member and secretary to the Golden Green Association, a local village charity, for more years than he cares to remember. In addition to his TMBC responsibilities, he is also Chairman of the Upper Medway Internal Drainage Board and a member of the Kent Flood Risk Management Committee. He is a trustee of a local Tonbridge, Tunbridge Wells & Southborough charity, The William Strong Foundation which supports young people and their education needs. In his spare time he loves to ring church bells.
I have represented the residents of Golden Green and East Peckham for nearly sixteen years and I have also served Hadlow since 2015. The risk and worry of flooding is ever present, so I am pleased to have helped in securing funding for the Coult Stream dam and am looking forward to the work which will soon begin to increase the capacity of the Leigh Flood Storage Area which will provide extra protection for Tonbridge and our homes downstream. My next big challenge is to ensure that the reopening of the Stonecastle Quarry does not blight our villages or create any further flood risk.
