Carl was a candidate for the Tonbridge Vauxhall ward in the 2019 local elections.
I have lived in Tonbridge since 2011, moving from Tunbridge Wells where I was born. After the 2013 Christmas floods, I helped those residents whose properties had been affected. Soon afterwards, I volunteered to become the town’s first ever Flood Warden. I am a ‘dementia friend’ and a volunteer with the Lions Club. In 2016, I took the responsibility to organise the Tonbridge Poppy Appeal. I also volunteer at the Tonbridge Parkrun. I am delighted that Tonbridge is an active town, with many exciting new ventures, new restaurants and many small businesses and I know how important it is to support these local firms as the lifeblood of our town centre. I am passionate that it is local people who make the town what it is and if privileged enough to be elected, I will strive to get value for money and a healthy, safe and attractive environment to live and work in.
